Great pics folks...Question though?? How come the pics of SAAF airframes on delivery usually show twin pitot tubes?? Yet they obviously reverted back to only the one on the port side on these pics.

Many thanks for sharing..lucky chap!!!

For the record, 421 sustained the damage due to a marquee collapsing on it during a major storm.

By the way, excellent photos, Chris and welcome aboard the BBS.

I managed to get a new one today!

XX892 is employed in a ‘crashed aircraft’ scenario at the BlueSky experience centre in Perth, Scotland.

This particular Buccaneer is on private property and prior permission MUST be obtained by anyone wishing to see it. Be warned though that due to its location, muddy fields and fences have to be negotiated to get to it smiley

Thanks go to Nigel Goodall for the contact details and both James and Emma at BlueSky for making the visit possible!

I went along to the Areo Jumble at Newark Air Museum last weekend and grabbed a couple of shots of XN964 whilst there. It was good to meet up with Mick Coombes again and also meet Tim (TT18Timbo) for the first time!

I have a copy of a black and white photograph of XT286 flown by Flt Lt John Miles of 237OCU taken as he flew past the Tower at Honnington, I think it was 1976/77. If anyone would like to see it, how do I attach it to an e-mail?

Apologies for the repetition, but I thought I ought to add one to this thread!

Apparently, when the new hangar is built later in the year she will be having a full re-spray before going permanently inside!

It was last Sunday, On my way to my Mums, So I thought why not try calling off there. I walked the entire site all the way round. Did you know there is a public right of way which takes you over the runway? and then around the workshops where you can spot the Bucc from behind. From the footpath you can see some old Raf aircraft fuel tankers. Lots of jigs and jacks to be seen and YES plenty of cameras. Just dont point you camera if theirs is pointing at yours. The shot of the Bucc was not easy, I just chanced it and I hope it payed off? I also filmed the frontage of site end to end. Nice mixture of old and new buildings. Many thanks Matt
