It would be a shame not to as she looks so complete! Hopefully you can get a hand from one or two of the electrical guys at Brnty that work on the buccs there.

YES...when they are worn out the old lass won't move. And looking at the pictures that Hugh posted ours don't look a bit like those, as you know 974 is a bit of a hybrid.
I was once told our brake units look a lot like Nimrod ones? but I would have to see for myself.

Funny you should say that Pete because the tyres that you see fitted to the S1 are indeed Nimrod tyres!!!

Ah, that's a point, did you have any success with what you were going to find out for me? wink

Pete, has anyone contacted the FAAM about having a look at the units on XN957 to see if they are the same?

I recall on my last visit to FAAM (5-6 yrs ago) that there were no units fitted, 'cos I was in begging mode even then.

OK, so that seems like a no go then.

Do you know what brake/wheel unit is fitted to 974? It will tell you on the outer facing part of the brake unit, it will start with an E and will contain 5 numbers, so something like, E40361, which is what is found on the greater majority of the S.2's.

Off the top of my head all I can say is that they bare no resembalance to mk.2 units, we have 2 sets of those and they don't come anywhere near. I'll get some photos and post them.

Yeah, Phil told me that they were completely different, but I am trying something else, so the Brake Unit part number off 974, is required.
