It's my first go at it 'rollering' that is, not sure wether to flat it back and then apply a clear coat or just polish it as is dunno really obviously spraying it would be better but not with the ever present brunty breeze. Got to put on the stwncils in there somewhere and paint all the red warning line, and there's quite a few of them

Hmm, you're right about spraying but like you say, trying that in any open space is all but futile. How much "stippling" is there on the paint surface from the roller? If it's not noticeable then I'd leave it as is, as flatting back may well end up with you needing to put another coat on afterwards anyway as with spraying - I'd imagine rollering an entire sea-vixen must be pretty hard going so you'd be forgiven for not wanting to go through that again shocked Look at it this way, whatever you do it'll look a whole lot better than time-ravaged matted sea grey!

the old girl will shortly be re-joining 899 NAS
with the fleet number '121'
ROYAL NAVY lettering and HMS Eagle's slanty 'E'
