Thought it was along those lines
I'm assuming that with the RAT deployed they were having elecy issues even then

Soz if i got stressed about the no show the other day, will be there on sunday to see what's going on and hopefully play with a few rigger/sootie things in the engine bay, i think the engine itself will be ready before the bay itself is what with all the snapped cabling lying around and the need to source new ignition cables, ignitors and ignitor boxes to fit after overhaul all the ECU plugs need re-terminating as well as adding a quick release terminal block to aid refit/removal and fault diagnosis

Yes there were issues with the electrics, but another reason the RAT was deployed was that the lock mechanisum was seized until DT sorted it out.

Brunty at it's best again today if it's rain your after again

Managed to carry out another engine lift of the old engine to free up some more dress items for the 'new' one but not a lot else other than freeing up the ignitor plugs, we might get one serviceable one from the lot we have Fy107 if anyone has any to donate, i'm going to clean up the good one in the ulta sonic bath at work

Here's hoping for good weather next time

The Sea Vixen had a new power plant installed today! I’m led to believe that this one produces more thrust when fuelled with curry rather than Jet A1 grin

hi just to add i have wired new engine looms up with brand new connectors and wil be fitting them next weekend on our work weekend along with reconnecting the replaced main genny.also hope to have a go at the electrics once again if francis is about to help.steve is currently redisgning the cracker box using new coponents and the recently aquired ap notes on them supplied by pk.we hope to do this alot on 494 so it makes her more able to last longer and operate more reliably as well.still be nice to get more ap's so if anyone can help with even copies it will be much appriciated.had a good chat with pk who was so helpful and told us lots of intresting things to help us understand better the way to operate a live sea vixen.thanks pk if you read this for your time.i just hope we can get these eleccy issues sorted so we can move on and start breathing life into her again.things work so much better when they get used regular.thats all for now.

Do you happen to have the RR part number and/or reference number?

ISO Parts list them at $290.00 USD each or £155.88 each, but are currently out of stock.
My source does not have any at the moment that they could let you have.

I'll keep trying.

Right, contacts that you can be struck off, with regards to the igniters, are as follows:

Delta Jets - Part never stocked.
Hunter Flying Ltd - Part never stocked.
Retro Aviation - Not Stocked.
Case Ltd - Not Stocked.
ISO Parts - Not Stocked.
Liquidity Services - None For Auction.

Might be a bit more fruitful, with the following:

De-Havilland Aviation - Not Stocked, but could relinquish a pair from a serviceable spare engine, so you would need to speak to PK very nicely.
Richard Hukins - Awaiting a response.
