Right, I need to set things straight! As nice as the bookshelf cockpit is, unfortunately it has nothing to do with Malcolm’s project of restoring XX895! It also is definitely not from XX895 and neither myself or Malcolm knows which aircraft it has come from? I will try and find out it true identity in due course..
The actual cockpit part that Malcolm has got to work with requires a fair bit of restoration of its own. Check out the pics…

I’m now off to the front row with some popcorn to watch this one progress…

That second image was taken after she arrived at RAF St Athan for disposal in 1994, remember that site well.

Indeed, the aircraft that is just visable at the rear is either XV352 or XX889, cannot remember how they were parked now.

Fellow forumite Arni has a load of photos of the Buccs taken at St Athan. Maybe he'll let us post them up?

Malcolm has been very busy collecting more bits for the restoration of XX895.
Here’s a taster of the latest parts that he has now acquired…

Great pictures, and best of luck fitting the bits together. What other bits do you need? I have the canopy from XT272. Unfortunately it's a bit heat damaged and it has 2 shell holes in the rear section. I have heard that your canopy has been smashed, so please let me know if this is of any use. cheers XT284
