Another old codger
Post by joethebow on Dec 20th, 2005, 5:00pm

I arrived at 12 Sqn, Honnington, on 15 Dec 1969 when it consisted off 2 Buccs and 3 Hunters. Met my future wife at the Black Boy in Burry St Edmunds on 15 Jan and we married 8 weeks later on 15 Mar.

In Dec I went on my Fitters course returning 3 1/2 years later to ADSU where I first worked on the Red M team and then the Strikesight DWG line. Then to Germany where I spent 2 1/2 years on 15 and 6 months on 16 Sqn.

Then to Sealand where I spent 18 months on the Bucc Autopilot line.

While at CSDE Swanton Morley I was involved in the final Bucc Mod - the new Smiths Autopilot.

So I saw them in and I saw them out. I joined a year before they arrived and left a year after they retired.

So if you remember me let me know. Joe Bowman L Tech FS (Flight Systems) My wife was, and still is Thelma.
