Hi all, I am a member at East Midlands Aeropark home to Buccaneer S2B XV350. We Julian Hazel and Darren have started with the restoration on XV350.
I was (Darren) crewchief on XV350 at the Aeropark for two years, hear are some photo's from when I first worked on her.

We had her looking her best and then it fell on the back burner has we were helping out with the re-paint on Vulcan XM575.

Work start's again on XV350 - 11th Oct 2009.

1st job was to jack the aircraft so we could do the recharging of the port shock absorber with OX-16, also we have started to do the hydraulic accumulators.

Doesn't she look different with her wings down? What is the overall condition and status of her as in will she be able to become electrically live once more?

Hi, We no longer volunteer at the Aeropark and the last time we worked on 350 was way back in May and when we left in November she was still as we left her back in May.

Photo Below shows she is still how we left her Back in May.

Ok seeing as this thread is inactive i'll up date.
Today I and three other members of the Aeropark
plugged in a generator and moved all the control surfaces on the Bucc, as well as moved the wings up and down (The public was kept at a safe distance). Nearly everything works except the engines (which we have NO intention of running) and the bomb bay

We also polished the aircraft, so it looks nice and shiny.

Good to see an update on this aircraft! I know theres no chance of running her engines again but are they seized or is there any chance or effort to have them turned over by air or a starter occasionally?

Unfortunately i can't say what were going to do with the engines.

More than likely we'll just make sure there in good condition every so often.

But please don't qoute me on it!!!

Did some more polishing today. Hopefully we're going to work some of the aircraft systems (hook, airbrakes, wings, nosewheel steering) on Sunday.

I came, I saw, I polished...the weather was awful so nothing happened.

We'll try again next week.
